Gulf Air suspends services to Beirut, Iran and Iraq over security

Gulf Air has temporarily suspended its services to Beirut from 01-Jun-2011 until 10-Jun-2011 (travelhouseuk.co.uk/TradeArabia News Service, 02-Jun-2011). Services to Iraq and Iran have also been suspended until 30-Jun-2011. The decision was made following the on-going security situation in the region. Passengers who have already bought tickets with Gulf Air should contact their travel agents immediately and apply for full refunds. Services to Beirut from Bahrain may be involuntary rerouted via Cairo, Amman or Damascus. The rerouted carriers operating to and from Beirut would be Royal Jordanian, Syrian Arab Airlines, Middle East Airlines or Egypt Air where services to and from Bahrain would be routed with Qatar Airways or Etihad.
