Greek aviation strike cancelled

Greece's regional airports reported normal operations on 29-Dec-2010 and 30-Dec-2010, after an Athens court ruled that a proposed 48-hour strike by civil aviation employees' union OSYPA was illegal (ΑΝΑ-ΜPA, 25-Dec-2010/WAPA, 28-Dec-2010). In response, OSYPA stated its members would resort to other forms of industrial action to protest the Greek Government's plans to transfer 500 maintenance staff and pilots of Olympic Airways currently employed by the Civil Aviation Service (CAS).
