Going back to Europe 'is inevitable' but right now there are other priorities: AirAsia X

AirAsia X head of commercial Arik De, speaking at the CAPA Australia Pacific Aviation Summit, said (04-Aug-2016) while the choice of the A340 in flying to Europe historically "wasn't the right choice…you also need to step back and ask as an organisation, did we do the right thing?" Mr De continued: "As an airline, we didn't recognise the strength of our network. We didn't recognise that we have the biggest network in Asia and we have 5% capacity going into Australia, the 4th largest airline…So going back to Europe? I think there are other priorities, [but it] is inevitable. We're very optimistic about going back to Europe."
