GE not seeing recruiting problem in MRO, but skill sets are changing
GE deputy operations manager Oliver Kirby, speaking at the CAPA Aviation Training & Safety Summit, reported (03-Aug-2016) the company is "not seeing too much of a problem with recruiting" in the MRO sector, but agreed that the industry does need to sell itself a little better. Mr Kiby noted that work skills in the MRO sector has shifted from proficiency with physical process to a wider systems view, encompassing not only physical activities but systems management and information collection and analysis.
