Future Fund to acquire all Australian Infrastructure's assets
Australia's Future Fund and Australian Infrastructure Fund (AIX) signed (24-Aug-2012) an MoU on 24-Aug-2012 under which Future Fund will acquire all AIX's assets for AUD2 billion (USD2.08 billion). AIX values its assets at AUD1.8 billion (USD1.87 billion) and Future Fund already owns a 16.8% stake in Australia Pacific Airports Corporation. AIX holds the following stakes in airport companies:
- Queensland Airports Limited (49.1%): owns and operates Gold Coast Airport, Townsville Airport and Mount Isa Airport;
- Airstralia Development Group (29.7%): owns Perth Airport;
- NT Airports (28.2%): owns and operates Darwin Airport, Alice Springs Airport and Tennant Creek Airport;
- Australia Pacific Airports Corporation (12.4%): owns and operates Melbourne Tullamarine Airport and Launceston Airport;
