Finnair President and CEO resigns

Finnair announced (07-Aug-09) the resignation of President and CEO, Jukka Hienonen. Mr Hienonen stated he was not satisfied with the results achieved during his time in charge, with the rate of change being "insufficient", leading to the need for a "change of course". Mr Hienonen stated the carrier's structure and culture need to adapted to present competitive environment, also citing union unwillingness to adapt. [more at EuropeAviation.aero]
