European Commission investigation into the freight forwarding industry

DHL Global Forwarding announced (10-Feb-2010) it has received a copy of the Statement of Objections and confirmed it has been cooperating with the European Commission in connection with a multinational probe into alleged anticompetitive behaviour conducted by several competition authorities, including the Commission, the US Department of Justice and the Swiss Competition Commission, against a number of major freight forwarding companies. The Statement of Objections concerns alleged coordinated conduct related to different surcharges, none of which is, or relates to, fuel.
