Etihad Airways reports record traffic over four day period at the end of Eid Al-Fitr

Etihad Airways reported (05-Aug-2014) passenger traffic increased 36% year-on-year to 181,333 for the end of Eid Al-Fitr period, from 31-Jul-2014 to 03-Aug-2014, marking the busiest four day period in the airline's history. Overall load factor increased from 79.3% in 2013 to 88.1% in 2014. Load factor increased 6.1ppt in first class, 12.1ppt in business class and 8.6ppt in economy class. The top 10 routes for passenger traffic during the period were Bangkok, London, Manila, Manchester, Kuwait, Dublin, Paris, Jeddah, Singapore-Brisbane and Jakarta. The top 10 routes for load factor were Melbourne, Rome, Sydney, Toronto, Manila, Nairobi, Belgrade, Hyderabad, Singapore-Brisbane and Istanbul. [more - original PR]
