About

Manchester Airport is the main international gateway to northern England, the UK's third busiest airport and with a mix of full service, low cost and charter services. Owned by Manchester Airports Group, the airport is also the second biggest airport in Europe for Gulf states capacity after London Heathrow. It is one of only two principal international gateway airports in the UK to have more than one runway. 

In 2025 the GBP1 billion refurbishment and extension of Terminal 2 will be completed, after which T1 will be demolished and the airport will become a two terminal one; the present day terminals 2 and 3. The airport also features a separate Private Terminal at additional cost to users.
