Emirates to use A380 to Johannesburg

Emirates has engaged local travel agency Rennies Travel to facilitate air travel from Namibia to Dubai and the Far East, and announced plans to use A380 equipment on a new route to Johannesburg (All Africa, 06-Jun-2011). The carrier plans to launch daily Dubai-Oliver R Tambo International Airport service using the equipment on 01-Oct-2011.

Emirates: "Africa continues to grow its profile as one of the biggest contributors to Emirates' global business, with southern Africa playing a major part in this. This was a major factor in the decision by Emirates to introduce its flagship Airbus A380 aircraft to its Johannesburg route." Corporate Sales Executive, Ronel Marais.
