Region: Africa: Southern Africa

Officially known as the Republic of Namibia, this is a country in southern Africa whose western border is the Atlantic Ocean. Despite the remote nature of much of the country, Namibia has airports in almost every city, though the majority are unpaved. The main international airport in the country is Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH). Air Namibia is the state-owned flag carrier of Namibia, operating scheduled services to all major domestic destinations as well as international routes such as to Ghana, South Africa, Germany and Zimbabwe. Namibia's Directorate of Civil Aviation is the authority responsible for the overall administration of civil aviation services in Namibia.
