Emirates to report profit of more than USD1.4bn in 2010

Emirates Vice Chairman Sir Maurice Flanagan stated the carrier will report more than the USD1.4 billion profit in 2010 on the back of strong passenger numbers and cargo traffic (Arabian Business, 01-Dec-2010). He added that the A380 aircraft, of which it is the largest customer, had been "a huge success". The airline operates 14 A380s and has launched two new A380 destinations to Manchester and Beijing since Apr-2010.
