Safran Seats targeted 1H2026 entry into service for its U-Dream economy headrest, with VP marketing Jean-Christophe Gaudeau (Safran Seats) describing it as an “integrated travel pillow” offering extra lateral support and more rotation axes.1 Emirates’ next retrofit phase from Aug-2026 covered 60 A380s and 51 777s, including Safran Z400 economy seats alongside other cabin upgrades.2 Emirates and Safran Seats also signed an MoU for a 20,000sqm-25,000sqm Dubai seat assembly facility, aiming for completion by 4Q2027.3
