Emirates planning to add seven destinations in the Americas over five years

Emirates Airline Senior VP of Commercial Operations for the Americas and Africa, Nigel Page, stated the carrier is planning to add up to seven destinations in the Americas (four US cities and three destinations in South America) over the next five years (The National, 04-May-2010). The Dubai-based airline currently operates to four cities in the US, New York, Houston, Los Angeles and San Francisco, with Toronto in Canada and Sao Paulo in Brazil.

Emirates: "The US is an important market for us. And if you look at a country like Brazil, very few people realise just what a huge country it is. The only thing that is really holding us back is aircraft availability," Nigel Page, Senior VP of Commercial Operations for the Americas and Africa. Source: The National, 04-May-2010.
