Dubai Duty Free reports record annual sales in 2011; continued sales growth forecast for 2012

UAE's Dubai Duty Free reported (02-Jan-2012) record annual sales revenue of AED5.3 billion (USD1.5 billion) in the 12 months ended 31-Dec-2011, an increase of 15.7% year-on-year. The travel retail operator also record monthly sales revenue of AED589 million (USD161 million) in Dec-2011. Dubai Duty Free reported sales at Dubai Airport's terminal one increased 15% year-on-year, terminal two sales increased 34% while terminal three sales, which accounts for 60% of total sales, increased 14%.
