Dubai Duty Free sales soar to Dhs5.311 billion (US$1.46 billion)

02-Jan-2012 The New Year began on a high note for Dubai Duty Free with the operation announcing record-breaking sales for 2011 of Dhs5.311 billion (US$1.46 billion), representing a 15.69% increase over the previous year.The signs of a remarkable year were evident in December when a new monthly sales record of Dhs589 million (US$161 million) was set. The operation's 28th Anniversary Day on December 20th, which offered customers a 25% discount on a range of products, resulted in a massive surge in sales and a new daily record.
