Delta, Virgin Atlantic to launch three US-UK services, increase frequencies from 2020
Delta Air Lines announced (15-Aug-2019) plans to operate the following services with JV partner Virgin Atlantic Airways:
- Frequency increase:

- New York JFK-London Heathrow: Increase to three times daily from 28-Mar-2020, operating with retrofitted Boeing 767-400 aircraft from winter 2019;
- Virgin:
- Los Angeles-London Heathrow: Increase to 17 times weekly from 29-Mar-2020, operating with A350 from 2020;
- Seattle-London Heathrow: Increase to 11 times weekly from 29-Mar-2020, operating with 787 from 2020;
- New York JFK-London Heathrow: To operate five times daily from 28-Mar-2020;

Additionally, Delta plans to operate Boston-London Heathrow service with retrofitted 767-400 equipment from winter 2019. Delta's increased capacity from Boston and New York JFK to London Heathrow in 2020 is expected to boost its capacity by 15% year-on-year, with Virgin Atlantic and Delta to increase capacity across the Atlantic by nearly 10,000 seats per week compared to 2019.
