Delta focuses on further growing partnerships

Delta Air Lines managing director legal and regulatory Julie Oettinger, speaking at the CAPA-ACTE Global Summit, stated (27-Oct-2016) Delta is "busily investing in creating a global airline" through overseas investments and partnerships. She pointed to Delta's growing partnership in Aeromexico, Gol and China Eastern Airlines. Delta has equity stakes in these three partners along with Virgin Atlantic, which has been a "tremendously successful partnership". However Ms Oettinger also pointed out that Delta does not have an equity tie up with Air France-KLM or Alitalia, which are closer partners and part of a leading transatlantic joint venture.
