Cuba encouraged by Obama's decision to liberalise travel

Cuba Travel Services (CTS) commended (20-Jan-2011) the Obama Administration for its decision to make changes to regulations and policies governing: purposeful travel, non-family remittances, and US airports supporting licensed charter services to and from Cuba. CTS stated it will review the new regulations and determine the possibility of offering direct services from other airports within the US once authorised by both countries. [more]

CTS: "Although most in the aviation and travel industries were hoping for a complete lifting of the travel ban in 2010, we firmly support the President's decision to make an Executive Order that will allow more Americans to travel freely to Cuba. This decision will create thousands of jobs in our industry and we look forward to the day when all Americans can travel freely to Cuba." Michael Zuccato, General Manager of Cuba Travel Services.
