Consumer watchdog again investigates LCCs' credit card charges

UK consumer watchdog Which? announced it will request the UK Office of Fair Trading investigate easyJet, flybe and Ryanair over fees levied on a credit card purchases (Bloomberg, 11-Jan-2011). Which? stated Ryanair's processing fee of GBP10 per transaction is far more than its cost of providing the service.

In response, Ryanair rejected (11-Feb-2011) the claims, stating it "does not levy any credit or debit card payment 'surcharges'. Even our administration fee is avoidable by passengers who use our recommended MasterCard Prepaid." The airline stated it was concerned Which? is not investigating British Airways' fuel surcharges.
