Commission to review decision on Qantas/South African Airways codeshare

International Air Services Commission (IASC) plans to review its decision to allow Qantas and South African Airways (SAA) to continue their codeshare agreement on routes from Australia to South Africa through to Dec-2011 (Travel Weekly, 31-Aug-2010). The move comes after Virgin Blue announced plans to suspend V Australia's twice weekly Melbourne-Johannesburg service. IASC stated it in previous ruling that V Australia's entry into the market has "stimulated competition".
