Chile domestic pax up 17%, international pax up 18% in May-2011

Chile's Civil Aeronautics Board reported (28-Jun-2011) the following traffic highlights in May-2011:

• Passenger numbers:
  • Domestic: 527,226,+17.3% year-on-year;
    • LAN Express: 266,798, +33.3%;
    • LAN Airlines: 138,847, -5.3%;
    • Sky Airline: 97,401, +10.7%;
    • PAL Airlines: 21,914, +72.5%;
    • Aerovias: 2266, +10.5%;
  • International: 425,975, +17.5%;
    • LAN Airlines: 217,587, +22.1%;
    • TAM: 24,024, +23.8%;
• Cargo volume:
  • Domestic: 2688 tonnes, +7.5%;
  • International: 23,764 tonnes, +10.9%.
