Changi Airport budget terminal to be demolished, new hybrid facility to be constructed
Singapore Changi Airport's budget terminal will be closed later in 2012 for redevelopment, according to Asia One and Channel News Asia reports. Carriers operating out of the terminal will operate from the main terminals at the airport, with Tiger Airways, Berjaya Air and SEAir operating from Terminal 2. Changes have also been made at Terminal 2 to accommodate additional services, including adjustments to aerobridges. According to reports, the existing budget terminal will be closed and a new hybrid terminal will be built in its place which will accommodate both LCCs and full service carriers.
