Boryspil International Airport’s new Terminal D to be operational by 30-Nov-2011

Ukraine Government announced Boryspil International Airport's new USD377 million Terminal D will be operational by 30-Nov-2011, following the handover of the terminal by contractor, Dogus Insaat, to airport management by 01-Oct-2011 (Kyiv Post, 14-Sep-09). The Japan Bank for International Cooperation provided USD167 million for the development, with the remaining funds (USD210 million) provided from the airport's own funds. The government added that Terminal F would be commissioned in Apr-2010. The government also plans to invest USD1.4 billion 2010 to improve the country's infrastructure, including improvements at the county's airports, ahead of the Euro 2012 football competition (DPA, 15-Sep-09).
