Bombardier CS100 awarded Type Validation by EASA and US FAA

Bombardier Commercial Aircraft announced (15-Jun-2016) its CS100 aircraft was awarded Type Validation by the EASA and the US FAA, following a comprehensive testing programme. The EASA and FAA validations follow the CS100 aircraft Type Certification awarded by Transport Canada in Dec-2015. EASA validation paves the way for the delivery of the first CS100 aircraft to launch operator SWISS at the end of Jun-2016 and the aircraft's entry-into-service in Jul-2016. FAA validation is a required precursor to operation of the aircraft in the US. [more - original PR]
