Bombardier Aerospace starts construction of new CSeries assembly line

Bombardier Aerospace announced (06-Aug-2013) it recently started the construction of a new factory, located close to its current facilities in the vicinity of the airport in Mirabel, Quebec. The plant will cover an area of nearly 667,000sqft and will be entirely dedicated to the assembly of the CSeries family of aircraft. This expansion will include a new array of paint, a site dedicated to CSeries partner Pratt & Whitney, new infrastructures and many other improvements. The construction of the new site should be completed by mid-2014 and will allow Bombardier to double the size of its industrial complex in Mirabel, going from 790,000sqft to 1.5 million sqft.
