Boeing announces 'Space Bins' option for 737NG and 737 MAX

Boeing announced (10-Jul-2014) the launch of its new 'Space Bins' overhead bins as cabin interior options for 737NGs and 737 MAX aircraft. The bins will provide more room for carry-on bags, permitting stowage of six bags, two more than the current pivot bins installed on 737NGs with the Boeing Sky Interior (based on a standard size carry-on bag). Space Bins also provide increased visibility into the back of the bins, improving ease of bag loading. Alaska Airlines will be the launch customer for the option and will begin installing Space Bins on all new deliveries as soon as the larger bins become available in late 2015.
