bmi issues fresh warning over losses

bmi British Midland has warned of continuing doubts over its ability to continue operating as it announced its pre-tax losses widened to GBP198 million in 2009 from GBP181 million in 2008 (Financial Times/Airwise/UK-Airport-News, 07-Oct-2010). bmi stated that parent Lufthansa had agreed to provide a further GBP60 million in operational funding until the end of 2011.
