BAA states Heathrow aims to handle larger aircraft rather than more

UK's BAA reportedly stated London Heathrow Airport is aiming to handle larger aircraft in the future, as opposed to a larger number of aircraft (UK-Airport-News.info, 16-Sep-2010). The company does not expect the cap on the number of flights permitted from the airport to be increased from the 480,000 p/a for at least 10 years. BAA also stated it believes the current limit is "practical".
