BAA revenue up 11.5% in 1Q2012

UK's BAA revenue up 11.5% - financial highlights for the three months ended Mar-2012:

  • Revenue: GBP537 million, +11.5% year-on-year;
    • Aeronautical: GBP294.8 million, +16.8%;
    • Retail: GBP119.5 million, +7.9%;
    • Other: 122.7 million, +3.7%;
  • Adjusted operating costs: GBP305.8 million, +9.0%;
  • Adjusted EBITDA: GBP231.2 million, +15.1%;
  • Passenger numbers: 19.1 million, +2.5%;

BAA: "The Group delivered a strong operational and financial performance in the first quarter of 2012, in line with expectations. As a result, the Group continues to expect turnover and Adjusted EBITDA for 2012 as a whole to be consistent with the forecasts set out in the investor report issued in December 2011 at approximately GBP2.5 billion and GBP1.28 billion respectively," Source: Company statement, 25-Apr-2012.
