BAA forecasts increase in revenue and EBITDA result in 2012 from expected 2011 levels

UK's BAA stated (19-Dec-2011) combined full-year passenger numbers at London Heathrow and London Stansted are expected to be below its Sep-2011 forecast of 87.6 million including 69.7 million at London Heathrow and 17.9 million at London Stansted due to traffic performance since its previous forecast. Despite the downgrade in traffic forecast, London Heathrow is still expected to report its highest annual traffic in 2011. The airport operator also provided the following forecast:

  • 2011 forecast:
    • Revenue: GBP2293 million;
    • Adjusted EBITDA: GBP1128 million;
    • Capital expenditure: GBP910 million;
  • 2012 forecast:
    • Revenue: GBP2516 million, +9.7% year-on-year;
    • Adjusted EBITDA: GBP1283 million, +13.7%;
    • Capital expenditure: GBP1272 million, +39.8%;
    • Passenger numbers: 88.1 million;
