Australia planning to merge civil and military air traffic control systems
Australian Government reportedly announced plans merge the nation's civil and military air traffic control systems, managed by Airservices Australia and Defence, respectively, to deliver cost savings of up to AUD300 million (The Australian, 15-Sep-09). The operational details of the merger have not been disclosed and a final decision is expected to be announced in early 2010.
