Uzbekistan pursued wider airport modernisation, reopening Andizhan to international operations on 12-Aug-2025 after reconstruction, with the first international flight operated by FLYONE Asia and twice weekly Jeddah services planned.1 At Andizhan, Uzbekistan Airports also progressed airfield upgrades including additional parking stands, a second taxiway and equipment to meet ICAO CAT II requirements.2 National plans also included reconstructing seven international airports, building fuel storage at Andizhan, and developing New Tashkent International Airport under a PPP-led consortium.3 4
