Alaska Air Group updates 2Q2016 and full year guidance

Alaska Air Group updated (21-Apr-2016) its 2Q2016 and full year 2016 guidance as follows:

• • Capacity (ASMs): +11% year-on-year;
  • • Alaska Airlines: +9.5%;
  • Cost per ASM excl fuel and special items: USD 8.00 cents to USD 8.05 cents, -1%;
  • • Alaska Airlines: -1.5%;
  • Fuel gallons: 137 million, +9%;
  • Economic fuel cost per gallon: USD1.44, -32%;
• FY2016:
• • Capacity: 43.1 billion to 43.2 billion, compared to previous guidance of 43.0 billion to 43.1 billion;
  • Cost per ASM excl fuel and special items: USD 8.25 cents to USD 8.30 cents, compared to previous guidance of USD 8.20 cents to USD 8.25 cents;
