Airline Pilot Training Bill passes through US Congress

Air Line Pilots Association praised (14-Oct-2009) the US House of Representatives for passing The Airline Safety and Pilot Training Improvement Act of 2009 (HR 3371), stating the bill promises to enhance the safety of US air transportation and address many of the pilot screening and training issues that are the "result of the airline industry's intense focus on the lowest possible operating costs".
