Airbiz MD outlines vision for future fast travel at airports, says stakeholder collaboration key

Airbiz Aviation MD Greg Fordham, speaking at the CAPA Australia Pacific Aviation Summit, outlined (06-Aug-2014) a vision for future fast travel at airports. Mr Fordham foresees passengers arriving through a ground transport interchange with automated baggage drop points, proceeding to a common departure lounge via high-speed high-frequency people mover, moving through an invisible combined security and border control point and then emerge into retail, food and beverage opportunities before boarding. Mr Fordham says none of this requires new technology and that vision is a very important element of the process as well as getting all stakeholders to work together to make the vision a reality.
