AirAsia to start new 'super-premium full-service' carrier named Caterham Jet: reports

AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes plans to start a new 'super-premium full-service' carrier named 'Caterham Jet', said to rival Qantas' upcoming carrier RedQ, according to a report in The Sun. The carrier reportedly plans to launch operations in May-2012 from Subang Airport, located near Kuala Lumpur.

Proposed routes are said to include Bangkok, Jakarta and Singapore. The carrier has yet to obtain an operating licence from the Government, although several Bombardier CRJ aircraft are said to have been secured. [more - CAPA Blog]
