AirAsia Group 'moving towards being a digital airline'

AirAsia Group COO Javed Anwar Malik, speaking at CAPA Live January 2021, stated (13-Jan-2021) capabilities including the group's Virtual Allstar chatbot are "fundamental pillars of development in terms of being a digital player". Mr Malik said: "We've moved away from the vision of our promoters towards being a digital airline", adding: "Had we not done that we would be in a difficult place in terms of the volumes of refunds that were expected".
