Air New Zealand pax numbers up 2% in Apr-2013, group-wide yields up

Air New Zealand passenger numbers up 2.2% - traffic highlights for Apr-2013:

  • Passenger numbers: 1.0 million, +2.2% year-on-year;
    • Short-haul: 944,000, +3.2%;
    • Domestic: 699,000, +2.7%;
    • Tasman/Pacific: 245,000, +4.7%;
    • Long-haul: 102,000, -6.5%;
    • Asia/Japan/UK: 35,000, -26.1%;
    • North America/UK: 67,000, +8.7%;
  • Passenger load factor: 82.1%, -0.9 ppt;
    • Short-haul: 83.9%, +0.2 ppt;
    • Domestic: 85%, +1.7 ppts;
    • Tasman/Pacific: 83.3%, -0.6 ppt;
    • Long-haul: 80.3%, -2.0 ppts;
    • Asia/Japan/UK: 79.4%, -1.8 ppts;
