Air New Zealand pax down 1% in Jan-2012, load factor weaker, yields improve in year-to-date
Air New Zealand reports (22-Feb-2012) the following traffic highlights in Jan-2012:
- Passenger numbers: 980,000, -1.0% year-on-year;
- Short-haul: 831,000 million, -0.4%;
- Domestic: 583,000, 0.0%;
- Tasman/Pacific: 248,000, -1.4%;
- Long-haul: 149,000, -4.3%;
- Asia/Japan/UK: 62,000, -2.7%;
- North America/UK: 88,000, -5.5%;
- Short-haul: 831,000 million, -0.4%;
- Passenger load factor: 86.3%, -1.1 ppts;
- Short-haul: 85.9%, +1.8 ppts;
- Domestic: 83.8%, +1.9 ppts;
- Tasman/Pacific: 86.9%, +1.8 ppts;
- Long-haul: 86.5%, -3.1 ppts;
- Asia/Japan/UK: 82.8%, -5.5 ppts;
- North America/UK: 89.2%, -1.3 ppts.
- Short-haul: 85.9%, +1.8 ppts;
Air New Zealand: "Group-wide yields for the financial year to date were up 4.1% on the same period last year. Compared to last January year to date Short Haul yields were up 1.7%.
