Air New Zealand passenger numbers up 9.2% - traffic highlights in Oct-2010:

- North America/UK: 74,000, +4.2%;
- Short-haul: 894,000, +10.2%;
- Passenger load factor: 82.9%, +2.9 ppts;
- Short-haul: 85.9%, +6.3 ppts;
- Domestic: 83.4%, +6.6 ppts;
- Tasman/Pacific: 87.3%, +6.1 ppts;
- Long-haul: 80.7%, +0.4 ppt;
- Asia/Japan/UK: 81.5%, +3.2 ppts;

Air New Zealand: "Group-wide yields for the financial year to date were up 4.3% on the same period last year. Compared to last October, year to date short-haul yields were down 1.4%, as the airline continued to lower fares which stimulated demand, and the respective long-haul yields were up by 10.9%.
