Air New Zealand passenger numbers up 4.3% - traffic highlights in Mar-2011:

- Domestic: 877,000, +6%;
- Tasman/Pacific: 268,000, +6.6%;
- Long-haul: 150,000, -8%;
- Asia/Japan/UK: 58,000, -16.6%;
- North America/UK: 93,000, -1.7%;
- Short-haul: 1.1 million, +6.1%;
- Passenger load factor: 79.8%, -2.9 ppts;
- Short-haul: 80.6%, -0.5 ppt;
- Domestic: 83.4%, +1.6 ppts;
- Tasman/Pacific: 78.9%, -1.8 ppts;
- Long-haul: 79.1%, -4.7 ppts;
- Asia/Japan/UK: 77.6%, -7.0 ppts;

Air New Zealand: "Group-wide yields for the financial year to date were up 1.1% on the same period last year. Compared to last March, year to date Short Haul yields were down 3.2% partly due to the new seats to suit product. Long-haul yields were up by 4.6%.
