Air New Zealand passenger numbers down 2.6% - traffic highlights in Dec-2009:
- Passenger numbers: 1.2 million, -2.6% year-on-year;
- Short-haul: 1.0 million, -2.0%;
- Domestic: 758,000, -0.7%;
- Tasman/Pacific: 270,000, -5.6%;
- Long-haul: 175,000, -6.4%;
- Asia/Japan/UK: 73,000, -14.1%;
- North America/UK: 103,000, +1.0%;
- Short-haul: 1.0 million, -2.0%;
- Passenger load factor: 85.0%, +4.8 ppts;
- Short-haul: 80.8%, +6.0 ppts;
- Domestic: 79.3%, +5.0 ppts;
- Tasman/Pacific: 81.6%, +6.6 ppts;
- Long-haul: 88.0%, +4.0 ppts;
- Asia/Japan/UK: 85.4%, +0.9 ppt;
- North America/UK: 89.8%, +6.1 ppts;
- Short-haul: 80.8%, +6.0 ppts;
- Six month ended 31-Dec-2009:
- Yield: -9.7%;
- Short-haul: -9.2%;

Air New Zealand: "Group-wide yields for the financial year to date were down 9.7% on the same period last year.
