Air Berlin to launch LAX service, increase New York

Air Berlin announced (18-Oct-2011) plans to launch three times weekly non-stop Berlin-Los Angeles service in May-2012 and increase Berlin-New York JFK service from four times weekly to daily. The airline will be the only carrier on the Los Angeles route and is the only airline on the New York route. It codeshares with American Airlines on the New York sector.
