Aigle Azur confirms entry into receivership, air services to continue

Aigle Azur confirmed (03-Sep-2019) it applied for and entered into receivership on 02-Sep-2019. Selarl AJRS will act as administrator, with all recovery offers to be addressed to it. The carrier has been under provisional administration since 27-Aug-2019. It stated all air services will be guaranteed during the receivership period. Air France has reportedly already expressed interest for purchase in part or in full of the carrier (La Tribune, 02-Sep-2019). According to OAG, Aigle Azur offers 57,287 weekly seats, all international, in the week commencing 26-Aug-2019. It primarily serves the Algerian market from France, with its three largest routes including Paris CDG, Paris Orly and Marseille to Algiers. [more - original PR - French]
