International traffic growth was supported by a continued decline in competition as several foreign carriers reduced frequencies to Russia, Aeroflot airline's higher international transit traffic through its Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport and Transaero Airlines' exit from the market which triggered a reallocation of traffic and routes among market players. In the first two months of 2016, Aeroflot Group added two Boeing 737-800s, two Sukhoi SSJ100s, one A319 and A320, and one DHC 8-400. Two A319s and one 767 were phased out of the Aeroflot Group fleet. The Group fleet increased by four aircraft bringing the fleet size to 262 aircraft as of 29-Feb-2016. Aeroflot airline added two 737-800s, two SSJ100s and one A320 during the period. Two Airbus A319 were phased out, resulting in a net Company fleet increase of three aircraft and bringing the fleet size to 170 aircraft as of 29-Feb-2016.
