The increase in traffic is attributed to increased demand for domestic services, growth of in-country tourism and a combined with a corresponding 8.1% year-on-year increase in ASKs for the Group and 7.7% increase for the company. The low-cost carrier Pobeda made a significant contribution to Group domestic traffic growth. International traffic increased despite the suspension of flights to destinations in Ukraine and Egypt and the suspension of charter flights to Turkey, supported by a continued decline in competition as several foreign carriers reduced flight frequencies to Russia, Aeroflot airline's higher international transit traffic through its Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport hub and Transaero Airlines' exit from the market.
