AerCap signs leases for 100 aircraft in 1Q2016, sold 25 aircraft

AerCap reported (12-Apr-2016) it completed the following major business transactions during 1Q2016:

  • Signed lease agreements for 100 aircraft, including 23 widebodies and 77 narrowbodies;
  • Purchased six aircraft, including five Boeing 787-9s and one 737-800;
  • Executed sale and part-out transactions for 25 aircraft;
  • Owned aircraft portfolio sales:
    • Three A320s;
    • One A321;
    • Three 737NGs;
    • One 737 CL;
    • Two 747-400s;
    • Two 757-200s;
    • Three 777-200ERs;
    • Four Bombardier CRJ-900s;
  • Managed aircraft sales:
    • One A330-300;
    • One A340-300;
    • Two 737 CL;
    • One 757-200;
    • One 777-200ER;
  • Signed USD100 million in financing transactions. AerCap also closed a USD700 million credit facility in Apr-2016;
  • AerCap's portfolio consisted of approximately 1670 aircraft that were either owned, managed, or under contract to purchase as of 31-Mar-2016. [more - original PR]
