Abu Dhabi International Airport pax up 25%, cargo up 29% in Jun-2012; record pax in 1H2012

UAE's Abu Dhabi International Airport passenger numbers up 25% - traffic highlights:

• Jun-2012:
  
  • Passenger numbers: 1.2 million, +25.3% year-on-year;
  • Cargo volume: 47,632 tonnes, +29.1%;
  • Aircraft movements: 9858;
• Six months ended 30-Jun-2012:
  • Passenger numbers: 7.1 million, +22.8%;
  • Cargo volume: 268,157 tonnes, +15.7%;

The airport reported top routes included Bangkok, Doha, Manila, London and Jeddah, accounting for a combined 20% market share of traffic at Abu Dhabi in 1H2012.
