Abu Dhabi Airport targets 2010 pax growth of 8-11%, to exceed 10 million

UAE's Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) stated Abu Dhabi International Airport is targeting a growth rate of 8-11% in 2010, with the airport expected to handle more 10 million passengers in the year (khaleejtimes, 22-Jun-2010). ADAC said the airport will see "more airlines coming to Abu Dhabi" by the end of the year.

ADAC: "Last year our growth rate was about 7.3 per cent and we have handled nearly 10 million passengers in 2009. This year we will cross the milestone of ten million passengers by significant levels. We will also see more airlines coming to Abu Dhabi this year. Several airlines have expressed their desire to operate from Abu Dhabi. We have over 59 airlines operating from Abu Dhabi currently. I can't tell you how many new airlines are likely to launch services from Abu Dhabi and which are they," Ahmed Mohammed Al Haddabi, Senior VP Airport Operations. Source: Khaleej Times, 22-Jun-2010.
